Final Conference in Seville

“RE-USING THE PAST FOR THE FUTURE: New Initiatives in Brownfield Regeneration” was the theme of the INTERREG IVC project B-Team Final Conference. The Brownfield Policy Improvement Task Force, led by Belfast City Council, has organised the culmination of the project on 7-8 November 2012 in Sevilla, Spain.

B-Team brings together experts of Brownfield regeneration from different countries to exchange their experiences in local and regional policies and jointly improve and transfer them.

After the 3 years of project implementation, the partnership presented the overall results of its activities. The conference showed the project results achieved in which 14 partners coming from Northern Ireland, Ireland, Lithuania, Finland, Hungary, Italy, Spain, Poland, Germany, Austria and Norway have shared good practices in regenerating their derelict sites and buildings.

Main activities during the project have been oriented to the exchange of experiences among the regions in order to transfer, adapt and incorporate their preferred good practices into their local and regional policies and processes.

In the event, city partners have presented its Brownfield Pledge- a policy transfer which ensures long-term benefits after the project’s completion by committing the partners to the improvement of their actions and policies.
